Neptune Retrograde

Neptune joins the retrograde party early hours of June 23, 2020. Six planets – Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Venus, and Mercury – and the asteroid Vesta are currently in retrograde. Wooeeee.

Retrograde planets are magnetic and draw energy toward them, taking the extroverted expression of a planet and turning it inward or reversing its polarity. It’s a time when planetary energy turns inward in review of the last direct phase and in deeper contemplation of the planet’s themes inside our own inner world.

Retrogradation of an outer planet like Neptune doesn’t have as profound an effect here on Earth as the retrograde of inner planets like Mercury and Venus (both retrograde right now). Yet, Neptune retrograde can influence us in subtle (and not so subtle!) ways.

Neptune is the planet of dreams and visions, of our deeper identity, of our emotionality, our ability to merge with the All in ecstatic states of bliss, and to be in selfless compassionate service to the collective. Neptune can also cast a fog of confusion, incite addictions and illusions, and provoke a crisis in identity.

Neptune remains retrograde until late November 2020.

In retrograde, this expression of Neptune is turned inwards. Where is there confusion or lack of clarity, personally and in your perception of the collective? Is there confusion where once a dream or vision was clear? Where is it time to shed illusions, addictions, and ways of being that no longer serve? How have you been numbing out, distracting, and avoiding? In what ways are you being asked to feel your way through the thick fog of illusion? What new dreams and visions beckon to be birthed so we can come to a deeper vision of what is possible in our own lives and on this planet?
