New Moon in Virgo
17 September 2020
6:59 AM EST
The New Moon is at 25 degrees Virgo today, inviting all of us to renew our relationship with the archetype of Virgo. Virgo is the sacred space holder, the ceremonialist, the high priestess or priest, the one who is devoted to her sacred work in the world. Virgo, an earth archetype, is also the one who knows how to ally with the cycles and seasons and organic rhythms and seasons of life.
(This month is the PERFECT time to join my new online immersion: SOUL SEASONS, which I’ll be officially announcing next week! Stay Tuned!)
Back to the New Moon. This New Moon is a good time to get practical and focus on the details of things, while still giving a healthy nod to your more lofty dreams, ideals and visions (as Neptune sits opposite this New Moon).
This moon is trine Saturn, lending support for us to work on the structures and systems of our lives in harmony with the natural order of things, like the rhythms of your body for example.
The Sabian symbol of this New Moon suggests that this is a potent time to take up an apprenticeship or spend time with someone who is skilled in a craft, profession, skill, or body of wisdom. The passing down of wisdom and knowledge. Gaining experience and mastery. An equal honoring of the apprentice and master inside all of us.
It’s a good time to give gratitude for the gifts of everyday mundane routines and how they can even be approached reverently or as a spiritual practice in and of themselves.
